Yesterday afternoon, Jax was planning to go back home for a good rest after a hard day's work at the base. After parking his beloved Honda Phantom, Jax made his way down the multi-storey carpark. Just when Jax is crossing the road, a dark blue van zoomed past and stopped in front of him. The driver of the van gave Jax with a "scam target found" look. Then he said in mandarin with malaysian accent.

Driver: Hey, brother! You interested in a home theater system? We had an extra set and we are giving it away!

At this time, the innocent looking Jax thought to himself, "do i look like an old man who seems cheatable?"

Driver: Come lah! Let's chat for awhile.

The driver parked the van at the roadside. Then a "scam partner" of his came out of the van.

Scam partner: Come brother! What's your name?
Jax: Jax. (Saying in an uninterested tone)
Scam partner: Eh, brother! Why you sound so sian?
Jax: Cos I don't want to hear you crap.
Scam partner: Huh? Didn't catch what you were saying. Anyway, I want to talk to you about the extra home theater system we have here.
Jax: Ok. (Unwillingly)
Scam partner: Actually ah, we are here to deliver the system. Then the supplier gave us an extra sound system. So we thought we might be able to sell it for some coffee or beer money you see.
Jax: Oh.. Trying to scam people to buy lah.
Scam partner: What? Anyway let me show you how it look like.

The scam partner took out a picture from the front seat. The picture consist of the home theater system, and its price which cost $2999. And it was from an unknown brand. The whole picture gives Jax a "ready to cheat anywhere" feeling.

Scam partner: See? We are selling it at a price of $2999. And its from a famous brand in Italy. But since we got an extra and if we send it back to the supplier, he will just take it home. So we thought that we should sell it cheap so it is a win-win situation for both of us.
Jax: Hmmm.. So how much are you selling it?
Scam partner: As i said just now, we just want some beer money. So how much can you pay?

Jax, who did not bring much cash on him, said,

Jax: I don't have much money on me leh.
Scam partner: Never mind! Just give us any amount so we can share the cash.
Jax: I got time anyway, so let's play. How about $10?
Scam partner: Huh? Abit more can?
Jax: $15? Arbo $20 lah.
Scam partner: So little ah? Then never mind lah. We will sell it to other people.

Just when they were going to take off, Jax saw a police patrol car coming his way.

Jax: Hey, wait. I saw my friend. Arbo I lend money from him 1st.

A sudden flash of light shone on the scam partner's face. The brightest smile showed on his face.

Jax: Wait awhile ah.

Jax waved for the police patrol car to stop. But when Jax turned and wanted to walk over to the van, it was gone.

This lesson is for all to learn. Don't think that everyday is like a Sunday, so easy can tio 4D or TOTO. Don't fall into traps like the above mentioned or like the "magic stone which can cure all illnesses" trick. And to the scammers, stop scamming old people's pension or "coffin fee", or even young and innocent looking Jax and other people who look like easy targets. Recently Jax read some blog about asking bloggers to answer some questions, so Jax decided to try it for fun.

After Jax has made his 1st million!! Haha.. no money how to marry somebody? Plus nowadays girls want huge diamond rings before they will say "I do".

Jax had just got what he most wanted. A Honda Phantom! In my 2nd favourite colour somemore. Now what i wan most is to ORD, get a high paying job, job-hop to a higher paying job, then job-hop to a even higher paying job. Wahaha~

No one.

Not enough now. Will be in the near future.

It will be to have a superhuman brain to take over the world. Muahaha~~

Not yet. I will in the near future.

My life. Cant lose it yet cause my "life's checklist" isn't complete yet.

Funny question. I guess it will be the "when I need a toilet and its not there" feeling.

Yes I would say, although Jax had lost contact with quite alot of his school mates. And luckily found some friends at Zouk the other day. I think I also saw my primary school friend, but can't confirm whether is that her or not! So people, if you are reading this blog of mine and you know me, drop me a comment or something.

Three words. "Jax do not believe in God, no offence." Sry shld be eight words.

Jax's Honda Phantom, Jax's loved ones and Jax's life itself.

Not studying hard enough during primary and secondary school.

The Good Manners Ranking Chart

Hi fans and frens of Jax-Ray, I'm back from a long break and here is another interesting yet true blog, from my present work place. My current workplace serves buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And as the restaurant I'm working in is located in a hotel, I meet guests and customers from all around the world. Unfortunately, Jax is standing at the buffet line, serving and communicating with the customers. Therefore here comes the topic of my blog today, The "Good Manners" Ranking Chart.

Lets start with Manners Ranking Chart. (Beginning with the bad mannered on top)

1. Mainland Chinese
People from the Mainland China will be the most bad mannered. Here is a re-enactment of what happened.

Mainland Chinese: EH! one. (in mandarin)
Jax: -_-" ok.

2. Japanese
Sad to say, people from one of my favourite countries are the 2nd on the chart. Or just maybe they can't speak english.

Japanese: Err... *mumble mumble* (doing a hand sign)
Jax: ._. ok.

3. Indian
They are quite mannered, but somehow I think people from India need more than that.

Indian: Hello I want a hard egg. (Indian slang)
Jax: Sorry sir i didn't get you. What hard egg?
Indian: Hard egg lah, hard egg. (Indian slang)
Jax: You mean an overeasy(which means a fully cooked fried egg), sir?
Indian: Ya lah overeasy. (Indian slang)

4. Caucasians
Somehow I think they are a polite bunch. Although not all, but most of them will do this.

Ang moh: Hi good morning.
Jax: Hi good morning sir.
Ang moh: Can I have a overeasy, please.
Jax: Here you go sir.
Ang moh: Thank you.
Jax: Welcome.

Of course, if you want people to be polite to you, first you got to be polite to people. But it seems to me that some people just doesn't change no matter how polite are you. Right! Off to the next chart.

The Demanding Ranking Chart. (With the most demanding on the top)

1. Indian
Problematic. Lots of requests, lots of changes.

Indian: Hello, I want an omelette.
Jax: Sure no problem sir.
Indian: I want cheese in my omelette.
Jax: Sure no problem sir. (adding cheese)
Indian: No onion please.
Jax: No problem sir.
Indian: More mushroom.
Jax: ZZZZ Sure sir. (adding mushroom)
When frying omelette,
Indian: Fully cooked omelette.
Jax: ZZZZZZZZZ Sure no problem asshole.

As the other people from other countries doesn't request much as the Indians, they won't be showed in this chart.

The Glutton Chart. (With the glutton on top)

1. Mainland Chinese
Well well they are top again. Most impolite and hungry. 5 normal sized chinese can finish a whole tray of tempura and 50 sticks of satay. 30 of them can finish the whole buffet counter.
I wonder if they all were possessed by hungry ghosts. Just bored when their voices are heard.

2. Indian
Hmmm more requests mean more food. Long eating stamina. Can stay in the restaurant for about 4 to 5 hours. Going round the buffet counter is their favourite pasttime in the restaurant.

3. Caucasian
Can't blame them for their appetite I guess, because of their body size and portion of food back in their home town.

4. People working in the hotel
People working in the same hotel as i do actually can dine in the restaurant for free. But leaves after eating a small plate of food. Guess they are tired of the food served in the restaurant. Can see their faces everyday though.

That sums up the topic for today.

One nice Wednesday, 7th of September, Jax went to Bukit Batok West Mall's Harvey Norman to buy a headphone for himself. Upon arriving, Jax was shocked by the quite big range of headphones, different brands, different types, PLUS the slacking sales assistants at the cashier, the company phone and the display beds. Stepping in front of the headphones, i saw my dream headphones hanging at the display. After browsing for a while, Jax spotted another headphones that falls into his category of "dream headphones". Comparing both of them by looking, Jax still can't make up his mind as the words behind the packaging are all Japanese, so he decided to ask the sales assistant about the product that he is going to buy.

Jax grabbed a sales person and ask,

Jax: Hi there... May i ask but is there any difference between these two headphones?
Sales guy: Erm..

Then he ask the lady behind the cashier counter,

Sales guy: Eh you know any difference between these headphones?
Sales lady: Erm... (pauses), difference in price loh.

At that moment, Jax really felt like smacking the cashier table, but as you all know, Jax is cultured and well mannered, so he controlled.

Jax: How about other than that? Damn it.
Sales guy: Erm usually the difference between headphones are just the colours and their brand.

This angered the poor little Jax, who was just asking the difference, even more.

Jax: Ok thanks. And fuck off asshole.
Sales guy: No problem.

Since the sales guy is so polite to Jax's request, he decided to let the sales guy off. Jax wanted to compare awhile more before he makes the decision. Jax had made up his mind, buying the Sony headphones. Just turning to the cashier wanting to pay for it, a bald sales guy who is talking on the company phone, grab the headphones from Jax, shocking him.

Bald sales guy still on the phone: You want to buy har?
Jax still shocked: Ah...

Before Jax can say anything more, the bald guy gave the headphones to the cashier lady.

Bald sales guy talking on the phone: Eh call u back ah. Got business liao.
Bald sales guy talking to Jax: Ah boy pay by cash har?
Jax: Can i pay by NETS?
Bald sales guy: Yeah why not.

Jax is usually careful about the things he buy so he won't get cheated by the cruel world.

Jax: So i can return this stuff if it's faulty?
Bald sales guy: Ya can. But if only one side of the headphones cannot work then can change.
Jax: Huh?!
Bald sales guy: Ya if other problem then cannot change. And if you want to change must within a few days come back and change. I think its three days.
Jax: Oh you think its three days ah. Ok then.

Jax walked out of Harvey Norman, telling himself not to buy anythings from there ever again. Jax is so disappointed by the service the sales personnels provided. Let him use this chance to say something to all sales personnels in Singapore. Your bosses did not employ you all to slack, chat on the phone and rest on the display beds. At least, and i say at least, use those free time to know more about the products your bloody shop is selling, and refrain from saying stupid stuff like "difference in price loh" to your customer. Thank you.

Rich Singapore

Sometimes i feel that some Singaporeans are just too rich. Studying to become a chef, of course i work in a kitchen environment. And working in the kitchen, i hear many weird orders such as this:

Server: New orderrr! One Char Siew Ramen everything don't want! Only want Char Siew!

Then the kitchen staffs and I will look at the server.

Kitchen Staff: Then only want Char Siew no ramen no soup no nothing arh!?
Server: Wait i go ask.
After a while,
Server: Ya only want Char Siew.
Kitchen Staff: Ok then charge the same price as the Char Siew ramen.
Kitchen Staff: Wah another rich guy. Never mind save our job.

It's true. Almost 1/5 of our orders are like that. Why don't they give the things they don't eat to their family who does? Maybe they are eating alone. Let us see another example:

Server: Eh, the family wants to pack this for their maid.

The kitchen staffs and I look at the leftovers. Only a piece of "tori kaarage" and few little pieces of garnishes are left.

I packed the stuff and hand over to the server.

Talking about rich. I guess some Singaporeans are really rich. And selfish.

Interview of the Party boy

As we know, today is Miss Cindy's birthday. Last night, lots of Cindy's friends gathered at East Coast Park BBQ pit number 25 to celebrate this happy moment. All of them enjoyed the night barbecueing, listening to songs, playing cards and drinking booze and ale. But just right after they sang a birthday song to Cindy, one of the guys got too over-excited and drank a little more than usual. After a series of "not walking straight", he decided that he would do push-ups to clear off the alcohol content in his blood. It started fine, but after abt 40 push-ups, he collapsed face down onto the sandy ground, stood up not long after, sat on a chair, and lie down on the stone table. In his deep sleep, he did alot of funny actions that he prefer not to disclose. 6am in the morning, everyone was leaving, so he had no choice but to get up from his beauty sleep. At last after lots of trouble, he managed to get home. Mr Richard Choy interviews.

Richard: Hi Mulianny.
Mulianny: Hi.
Richard: As we know, you are the drunk party boy's "da jie". so what do you think about his behavior during the whole of the party?
Mulianny: Oh when i first saw him at the BBQ pit, i thought he was already drunk. He was hugging guys naked and laughing to himself. But he was real drunk after 12am, when we were about to go play pool and billard.
Richard: I see. Well thanks for your time Ms Mulianny.

Richard: Hi Sir Jeremy, can i take a few mins of your time for interviewing?
Jeremy: Yes please.
Richard: So what really happened yesterday?
Jeremy: I have no idea. When i saw him yesterday, he was fine. But after a soccer match with the guys and the birthday song, then i realised that he was totally knocked out lying on the table.
Richard: Is that it?
Jeremy: Yeah. We went off quite early.
Richard: We?
Jeremy: Oh I mean I went off quite early.
Sir Jeremy gives a cheeky smile and face turns red.
Richard: Hmmm OK thanks alot.
Jeremy: No problem.

Richard: Hi Happy Birthday to you Cindy.
Cindy: Thank you.
Richard: So birthday girl, how come you went home so early last night or rather this morning?
Cindy: Oh because we were tired.
Richard: We?
Cindy: Opps. I'm tired yesterday.
Cindy's face turns red and ran away.
Richard: Hee Hee~~

Richard: Yo Weiming aka Party boy.
Weiming: WTF you wan from me? Go away asshole.
Richard: Just a few question before i leave.
Weiming: What?
Richard: Did you know that you had just make a fool out of yourself?
Weiming: What fool? What myself?
Richard: I think you are still drunk.
Weiming laughs and hug Richard, giving him a kiss.
Richard: Argh!! Shit you!!

Public transports

As we know almost 3/4 of Singapore's residents take public transports when travelling. Public transport companies are already making millions per year, still they kept increasing the buses' and MRT's fare. Jax and friends passed by a bus stop at Orchard Road just yesterday and saw a poster indicating a fare increase. While we were looking and discussing about the fares and the statement "Donations to the Public Transports Fund", an man walked passed and spat on the ground.

Man: Damn it the fare is going up again.
Jax's friend, Dion: Woah Bro, careful on my Gucci shoe.
Dion looked up.
Dion: Woah ghos...
Dion fainted.
Man: Hey sorry about that. Just came from cosplaying at Orchard Road.
Being a friendly and sociable person, I introduced myself.
Jax: Hi I'm Jax and you are?
Man: Damn I arrived at Singapore last year, and this is the second time they are increasing the bus fare. I'm not taking any public transport anymore. Not in this life!
Jax and friends turned looking at a bus as it slowed down and stopped at the bus stop.
Man: I'm off.
The man ran into the bus.

So as we can see now, people are opposing the idea of increasing transport fares but nobody is doing anything about it. As a public transport taker, me too disagree with the increase of the fare.

We know that people have been complaining, but the increase is a must. We had been considering should we cancel the sudden increase. No way! You all might think we are greedy, but the truth is, we are not making any profits at all. Or rather the profits ain't enough. So we will bring up 7cents from the usual 63cents, with the effect of 1st July. Do not worry people, we have introduce the "Public Transport Fund". For ourselves of course. We are contributing the fund to the needy.

James Junior: Aiya. What you want me to say? No matter what I say, they oso won't change anything mah. Anyway, I had prepared myself by buying this!

Haha! Great right? Now I can save LOTS of bus fare by driving. Haha! Slowly wait for bus lah. What if I have a accident? Fuck you. My driving very good one ok. Don't kua sway me hor.
James turns, enters his nice Evo9 and drove off. A moment after that, we heard screeching of tyres and a loud BANG.
